After three years close collaboration with Abbiati, Kathy Schneider said she was very pleased to work with such a professional team. Schneider had underlined that Abbiati had always delivered a premium product to meet 100% brand expectations: “Their tables look beautiful onboard our ships and delivery of their equipment has always been on time. I am looking forward to our future orders for Azura (P&O UK), Queen Elizabeth (Cunard) and the next AIDA new build 2011, the AIDAsol.”

Terry Clarke went on to say that each order has been an exciting challenge for Abbiati in finding and using the unique materials selected notwithstanding the complexity of the table designs, the casinos are small boutique style consisting of American Roulette and Black Jack tables that blends and matches the ships overall ambience and design.

The newly built vessel is the fourth ship of the new AIDA generation. With a length of 827 ft and a beam of 105.5 ft, AIDAblu is in the same category as its sister ships, AIDAdiva, AIDAbella and AIDAluna. With a GRT of 71,100 tons, however, the space provided is half a deck more than on the preceding ships built.

Giorgio Abbiati stated: “This is the fifth Carnival Casino Order we have delivered this year and our relationship with Carnival has strengthened over the years which has become a true partnership of two companies supplying a quality product to its customers.”
