Gtech Corporation signs contract extension with Instituto Provincial de Loterías y Casinos in Argentina

The contract between IPLC and Boldt Gaming, and the contract between Boldt Gaming and Gtech have been extended through November 2012.

“Gtech is committed to its customers,” said its President and CEO Jaymin B. Patel. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with Boldt Gaming, which began more than 15 years ago. We have a cohesive plan in place to assist IPLC in expanding their retailer base to more than 6,000 locations with the deployment of 2,250 new IMAGINE lottery terminals over the next three years.”

“Today’s announcement also represents the 10th lottery customer to extend its contract with Gtech this year,” continued Patel.  “This is a strong endorsement of Gtech’s focus on strengthening customer relationships through superior service delivery and attention to customer priorities.”

Under the terms of the extension, the company will provide approximately 2,250 IMAGINE online lottery terminals, adding to IPLC’s existing base of 4,000 Gtech-provided terminals. The IMAGINE GT1100 allows more innovative play-slip designs of ticket shape giving way to more creative marketing and game concepts, and also facilitates the quick introduction of new games and game design changes for IPLC.

In addition, it will provide its IP-based ES Connect software. ES Connect is a highly-secure, high-volume, open standards network interface that connects a lottery’s transaction processing engine to a multitude of sales channels and devices. The company will also offer software support services over the three-year period.
