European bingo sector generates gross incomes for 5,5 billion euros annually

According to the research from EQBingo boosted by the Spanish Confederation of Bingo Businessmen (CEJ); the Institute of Integral Formation; the State Federation of Commerce, Hostelling, Tourism and Gaming of UGT (FECHTJ); CC.OO; Deutsche Angestellten-Akademie Gieben GMBH; the Centro Italiano di Studi Superiori Sul Turismo e Sulla Promozione; Policy Action; The Bingo Association and EUBINGO, the European bingo sector generates Gross Gaming Incomes of around 5.500 million euros annually. This number represents the 10 % of the whole European gaming industry.

European bingos employ around 80,000 people, which represent the 0,06% of the total of the GDP of the E.U. and the 0.04 % of the working population between 16 and 64 years old. In total, there are around 1,500 venues.

In general, professional profile of the sector tend to be the same, no matter which is the country. Chief of the gambling venue; Chief of table games; cashier and control and admission team. These employments are complemented with others such as bar personnel and expert in recreational machines.

In Spain, the bingo sector employs approximately 11,500 people (8,000 direct and 3,500 indirect), being 52 % men and 48 % women.
