What products and novelties Ainsworth decided to present at G2E?
We again showed our popular Jackpot Kingdom and Raging Roosters progressives. The Raging Roosters is still our number one product in Latin America and it is doing very well in every installation we have. But we also showed a number of new progressives and our new line of A Hundred Credit games, our House of Fortune and our new Rodeo of Riches progressives along with the new concept which we call Players’ Paradise, which is designed to generate a max bet play on our games.
We had a great response from our customers. We are getting more and more licenses in North America: that is our primary focus right now. We continue getting new licenses and we are growing all the time. On the other hand, the response from the customers we received here has been very good this week.
Which is the Ainsworth position in the international market and how is the company working in the US and in Latin America?
In Latin America we are strong and we continue to grow our market share. In North America, we are still relatively new on the scene but we’ve been growing gaining more licenses there. As you know, it is quite expensive but we consider that the investment is worthy.
At the same time, we are experiencing a tremendous growth in Latin America, Mexico in particular, Argentina; we have new installations in Chile and also in Colombia. We continue to focus in Latin America but at the same time, we are growing our presence in North America.
This has been a challenging year for the industry. How was it for Ainsworth and which are the goals for next year?
Well, as everyone experienced in 2009, it was a very difficult year. We are focused in positive growth in 2010. We are encouraged by the signs we see in any industry and particulary I was interested to see the reaction of my clients in Latin America at this show, and to see how encouraged are they about the coming year preparing the investments going forward.
