Grupo Orenes interested in investing in South America

Grupo Orenes has prepared up to four projects for each of the places chosen: Chuy, Río Branco, Aceguá and Bella Unión. They are all located in the frontier with Brazil.

Casino de Chuy will have a gambling venue with 12 table games and 90 slots (including a VIP room) as well as a four-star hotel with 24 rooms, restaurant, spa, gymnasium and a convention hall. The complex will also have a “duty free” shop.

Río Branco Casino will offer eight table games and 70 slots (including a VIP room), as well as a four-star hotel with 26 rooms, restaurant and a convention center. Focused in health and beauty treatments, the complex will have a Spa Center and a gymnasium.

Aceguá and Bella Unión casinos will have five table games and 60 slots each, as well as restaurants and a “duty free” store. At the beginning of 2010, once licenses are confirmed, such casinos would be integrated in the mixed operating system that is currently in force in Uruguay.

With this project, Grupo Orenes bets for a diversification of its business in the South American market. It is one of the main leaders in the gaming and leisure sector in Spain, thanks to its strong competitive position in its four current strategic activities: recreational, casinos, bingo halls and commercial.

This way, it has an important presence in the recreational sector in Spain, specially in the South East of the country, Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands; has seven casinos within the country, becoming one of the main operators of this type of venues, and keeps a consolidated position in the bingo sector and an active structure in the sector of the commercialization of recreational machines.
