Spain: Murcia to regulate betting shops

The Councillor of Economy Affairs explained that this legislation includes betting as a new game, which will develop after the entry into force of the law. She has also indicated that the future law will replace the current Law 2 / 1995 of March 15th.

With this new regulation, the Murcia Council is backing the idea of modernizing gaming administrative procedures. In addition, the rules strength degree of protection to players and users and the proceedings related to pathological gamblers by creating databases and penalties and considering also obligations of companies to inform to players the dangers of compulsive gambling.

It also introduces a more comprehensive definition of the elements and gaming devices, and technical conditions for the approval or authorization, all with the goal of providing greater agility and control to the industry and to enhance safety of users and gaming companies.
