Mexican Pronósticos joins US lotteries using Smartplay’s Origin system

Pronósticos para la Asistencia Pública is a state gaming agency operating and distributing both lottery games and sports pool betting services for the country of Mexico. Rhode Island and North Carolina also recently chose new Origin Systems for various raffles and special event drawings.  

The Origin System is currently in daily use by the New Mexico Lottery, Arizona Lottery, Washington State Lottery, Ohio Lottery, and Tennessee Lottery. Significantly, the system has been selected as the means to conduct raffles by New Jersey Lottery, New Mexico Lottery, New York Lottery, Ohio Lottery, Tennessee Education Lottery, Arizona Lottery, Washington State Lottery and Virginia Lottery as well as Rhode Island. 

“This has been a record year in sales of the Origin System,” stated Smartplay Vice President Thomas Markert. “We’ve seen an increase in the desire of lotteries to add flexibility and variation to their game offerings. The Origin System is a cost effective way for them to get both features in one purchase.” 

The Origin uses a flexible drawing platform which has been certified over thirteen times by Gaming Laboratories Incorporated, three times by Secure Software Incorporated and twice by KPMG of Vancouver, Canada.

The standard Origin System allows for flexible game matrixes as part of its code, therefore there is no additional software certification needed to add or change the matrix of current games. And unlike competitive products, Smartplay’s Origin system comes complete with standard animations depicting virtual drawing machines selecting winning numbers. These graphics may be easily incorporated into a broadcast.
