Which are its characteristics?
Aristocrat segments its games in different categories according to the main characteristics of each game, this way, it may have a better market strategy according to the maturity of the markets and the players as well. That’s why, due to the maturity reached by some Latin American countries, several new categories were presented, completely translated to Spanish, with the aim to expand our position and expand the scope of our products.
Aristocrat develops games for local markets, it means, for those players that constantly visit gaming venues and are frequent customers in the same place. These players are true experts in gaming issues and our products are designed for them to the point of becoming favourites and the ones with the best development.
How did you see the event this year?
I think it was a good year for SAGSE Argentina, and that’s why the participation of Aristocrat was very pertinent and distinguished. This year we received the visit of the main regional operators, not only from Argentina, but also from Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, Paraguay, Panama, as well as people from Brazil, Mexico and Central America. This way, the local and international press, as well as the regulators of the different Latin American countries, visited us to get to know our products and games.
Within SAGSE, Aristocrat had the pleasure to organize an impressive party together with Bally, IGT and WMS to welcome its customers and friends. This way, the four most important international companies of the sector crowned its participation in SAGSE, showed their commitment with the region and the organization level, clearing its position in the gaming industry. This party was held for the second year in a row and gathered the main operators, regulators and media of Latin America in a friendly environment.
What is the balance of the firm for 2009?
Despite the worldwide economic crisis, 2009 has been a positive year for Aristocrat in the region, and that’s why Aristocrat is making a strong bet in Latin America, expanding its team with the incorporation of Álvaro Nores as VP for Latin America, as well as with the opening of the new office of Aristocrat in Mexico with a team of sales, operation and technical support that will be headed by its server. All of this with the aim to strenghten the successful current operation of Aristocrat Argentina in Buenos Aires, leaded by Juan Pablo Irarrazaval (General Business Manager Latin America) and Alejandro Saraintaris (Sales Manager Latin America) and to assist to the growth and expansion in the Latin American market.
What are your future projects?
As I have just mentioned, the expansion plans of Aristocrat in Latin America are immediate and that’s why we are already penetrating in Mexico, and we keep an eye to the Brazilian
market, as well as to keep on consolidating as leaders in several countries of the region. The development projects for Latin America will continue to strengthen the existing products, and the new ideas of games and titles will be released during G2E, where the latest developments of Aristocrat will be showcased to the world.
