What products did you present in SAGSE Buenos Aires?
We presented the slot brand Euro Games Technology, EGT, and basically three types of machines: Vega Vision and Slantop, that are currently commercialized in Mercosu and in a new platform, which is Vega Vision +, that we will release next year, but that we are already showing so customers can see the future products. It basically has an improvement in games and in the displays, which are bigger, of more than 20 inches each, and we see it will have an enormous success in the market.
What Latin American markets do you expect to reach with this product?
We currently manage the Mercosur. And now we are focusing in Argentina, which is a growing market, in expansion, with a lot to do. We think we need a two-year task at least, to strenghten our position in Argentina and then go to other countries.
What feedback have you received from the visitors?
In general, we received a very good feedback. We have closed several agreements and the acceptance of the machine and the game have been pretty good; the operator liked it. Besides, the public that came here has been the target we are looking for. Most of the public have been operators or technical service, which is the target everyone is trying to achieve.
What balance can you make of this year?
Everyone knows that, with all this lottery issue and the flu, it was a rather complicated year. Specially for the machine manufacturer, because the operator reduced considerably the purchases, but with this new resolution of the opening of the lottery expansion and the ending of the flu, they are starting to increase the acquisition of machines. Here at the show there are operators that have come to buy machines and I think 2010 will be positive.
Will you be present in another show?
Yes, we will be present in Las Vegas. Obviously, our task as Grupo Light, which is EGT representative, will be to attend all Mercosur customers, but it will have a quite nice booth, with the same platforms.
