bwin announces the closing of the acquisition of Gioco Digitale S.p.A

All conditions precedent to the acquisition have been satisfied. The deal will enable bwin to capitalize on the growth potential of the Italian online gaming industry which is supported by modern, pro-active regulation. Including Gioco Digitale, bwin's market share of the Italian online poker market increased slightly to 25,6 % during September 2009, compared to 25,5 % in last August.
Gioco Digitale's experienced management team joins bwin to develop poker and other products in European markets where liberalization and local regulation are emerging.
