Carlos Carrion, the current Marketing Manager for Aristocrat in Latin America, will assume the post of Director of Sales and Operations – Mexico and will move to our new office in Mexico City in November. Stepping in to replace his Las Vegas-based role is Olga Pleguezuelos, who moves across from Aristocrat’s London office.
The new appointments have been made to support Aristocrat’s highly successful Latin American office based in Buenos Aires and led by the General Business Manager for Latin America, Juan Pablo Irarrazaval, and Sales Manager Alejandro Saraintaris – and assist with the expected growth and expansion of business in this region.
Alvaro Nores brings 18 years experience in operations management and business development in the gaming and technology sectors and since 2002 served as President and COO of ID Interactive, leading the company’s game development, operations, business strategy, and international sales. An Argentinean national, fluent in Spanish and English, he holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology and has successfully performed in previous roles in business strategy and operations management with Verizon, Booz & Co., and RJR Nabisco.
Mexican-born Carlos Carrion joined Aristocrat in 2006 as Project Manager for Latin America, bringing with him over 12 years of international experience in marketing, sales and engineering in the gaming and telecommunications industries. Rapidly achieving significant growth in the region, he was promoted to his current Marketing position in 2008. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and has enjoyed successful roles with Alcatel, Concept Games and Paragon Path.
Olga Pleguezuelos joined Aristocrat Technologies Europe as Marketing & Communications Manager in 2007 having gained 10 years’ of international marketing experience in the marketing, telecommunications, I.T and service sectors. Her career also includes a background in the marketing and advertising industry, handling major B2B/B2C accounts including Coca-Cola, Hewlett Packard and France Telecom. She earned a MA Degree in Communications at the University of Barcelona, Spain and speaks fluent English, Catalan and Portuguese in addition to her Spanish mother tongue.
