SAGSE Buenos Aires opened its doors yesterday at 14,30 p.m., after the inaugural ribbon cut made by the organizer of the event, Giorgio Gennari Litta, together with Frank Fahrenkopf Jr. (president and CEO of AGA), and Accountant Roberto Armando López, president of the National Lottery, among other authorities and businessmen of the sector.
A great number of public visited the show from the beginning of the day, and several operators, both Argentine and Latin American (Chilean, Colombian, Peruvian, Panamanian, among others), who found a very tidy 17th edition, in which big international companies showed their latest products and developments.
It is the case of IGT, which chose SAGSE Buenos Aires to present, a month before than G2E Las Vegas, its new thematic slot based in the popular TV series “Sex and the City”, together with a wide range of products and latest generation systems.
Aristocrat, WMS, Novomatic, Atronic, Konami, Bally, Ainsworth, Belatra and Unidesa, among others, also had wide and remarkable exhibition spaces, in which they offered novelties and state-of-the-art products both in slots and systems. Gavin Isaacs, Executive Vicepresident of Bally Technologies, was one of the main international executives present in SAGSE. He pointed that the event was “no doubt one of the four most successful shows worldwide, together with G2E Las Vegas, G2E Asia and IGE, in London.”
Also had a remarkable performance companies like Suzo Happ Group, Magic Dreams, Shuffle Master, TCS John Huxley, ASA International, Cash Code, Money Controls, EGT, Heal Technology, GPI, Gold Club, JCM Global, Permaquim and Zest Gaming.
The national industry was also highly represented at the event, with important booths of firms such as Electro Chance, Industrias Formanova, Alformbras Atlantis, Selton, Ed Roberts, Goody Group and Foster Casino Suplier, among others; while national lotteries offered this year less presence, in an exclusive area destinated to ALEA.
Despite that, the National Lottery, the Institute of Lotteries and Casinos of the Province of Buenos Aires and the Gaming Institute of the City of Buenos Aires had their own stands, as well as entities such as the Latin American Games of Chance Association (ALAJA), the Chambers of Official Agencies of the National Lottery and Buenos Aires Lotteries, and the Trade Union of employees of the sector (ALEARA).
Although the event counted with a less quantity of exhibitors than in previous editions, all the leading firms worldwide showed interest in being present in the event, as well as a great part of the local industry. This way, SAGSE Buenos Aires had a positive debut of its 17th edition, and today it will open its doors at 14,30 p.m., to close its second day of exhibition with a cocktail, in which organizers will gather exhibitors and visitors.
