GPI’s RFIDPoker was developed to improve accuracy and increase the speed of various actions on the poker table. Easily fitted on any poker table, GPI’s RFIDPoker works with RFID chips and consists of a slim antenna concealed under the table layout that provides error-free, automatic and constant reading of the poker pot, calculates charges and rakes, and provides essential data and statistics such as game analysis, table performances, round-ups lists, and daily totals. All transactions are recorded in an SQL database and can produce detailed and customized reports.
RFIDPoker also helps to speed up the game and has proven to increase hands per hour by as much as 30%, improving revenues for casinos, and reducing wait times for players both at the game and waiting for a table.
“We have enjoyed great success in casinos around the world that have already implemented RFIDPoker,” said Greg Gronau, President and CEO for GPI. “With poker being such a popular game in South American casinos, we believe our RFIDPoker product is perfectly suited to this region and this show.”
GPI’s new Progressive Poker system features three incrementing jackpots that can be won at any RFIDPoker Texas Hold ‘Em table. The Progressive Poker system can link all poker tables in the casino and draws an extra rake from each pot to feed the progressive jackpots, which are displayed on the main LCD display.
The rake can be a fixed amount or a percentage of the pot. When a winning hand is played, the dealer on that table launches the progressive jackpot application. The dealer chooses the corresponding progressive jackpot and assigns the winning table position. Upon verification of the winning hand, the system launches an animated jackpot celebration video sequence.
“Like progressive jackpots available on slot machines, the Progressive Poker system brings many benefits to the casino floor,” added Gronau. “Not only does it offer players more chances to win big, but it also creates additional interest in the poker games by building anticipation and adding to the competition between players to win the jackpot.”
The Progressive Poker system is RFID-compatible and can link multiple tables within an area of a casino or throughout the entire casino. GPI will also be displaying its newest line of playing cards, called the PSV Series. This new line features a unique paper formulation produced exclusively for GPI and designed to provide an economical yet quality addition to its existing line of premium playing cards, the Paulson series.
“We specifically developed the PSV Series of playing cards for use on high-traffic games or in shufflers,” stated Gronau. “The PSV Series offers the design and quality of our premium Paulson series of cards with a slightly lighter paper weight and less cost, which makes replacing these cards frequently less costly to the casino.”
The PSV Series of playing cards are available in single decks, as well as pre-shuffled blocks of 8, 10, and 12 decks. Along with these new products, GPI will also present its popular lines of casino chips, plaques and jetons, dice, layouts, and accessories.
