Spin3 was chosen by a panel of independent industry analysts as the Gold award winner for the industry's Best Mobile Game and Gambling Service at Visiongain's Mobile Content Awards which took place last week in London. Spin3 rival Cellectivity was the Silver award winner with its Bet2Go Mobile offering.

The awards include every part of the value chain, from operators and handset manufacturers, through to software developers. "Spin3 is a pioneer in the mobile gambling space. In the past year, Spin3 set out to launch a truly innovative and compelling product geared towards the flourishing success of the iPhone," said Julian Pasin, one of the event judges and Head Telecoms Analysts at Visiongain.

"With razor sharp graphics and advanced in-game effects, its product is arguably on a par with online casinos, presenting a truly exciting breakthrough for mobile gaming."

Spin3 also received the Silver Award in the Most Innovative Business Model category for its Mobile Casino Partner Program, an affiliate scheme which facilitates business partnerships between providers of mobile content and Spin3's mobile casino clients.

Matti Zinder, Head of Spin3, said: "Innovation is the foundation of our complete gambling service; from advanced mobile casino games like our web-based games for web-optimised smartphones like the iPhone, right through to the business models and unique opportunities we provide to our clients.

"In the past year, Spin3 continued to develop games on both Java and web-platforms, launched its Mobile Casino Partner Program and became the first and only mobile gambling provider to earn accreditation from the iGaming industry's independent standards authority, eCOGRA.

"Mobile gambling continues to represent one of the mobile content industry's most vibrant and exciting sectors and it's terrific to be recognised for our contribution to its continued development," added Zinder. Other winners at the 2009 Mobile Content Awards included Orange, Samsung Mobile and Financial Times.
