Just three days after the go-live of the Mega Million Jackpot the first jackpot hit took place on September 12th at Casino Linz, where a 40 year old local player won the fantastic prize of 1.009.699 euros.
On September 9th, 2009, the jackpot was launched nationwide with the main celebration at Grand Casino Baden where Casinos Austria CEO Karl Stoss and Austrian swimmer Fabienne Nadarajah cut the ribbon during the festive ceremony and officially started game play.
In his speech, Casinos Austria CEO Karl Stoss thanked the Atronic team for the excellent cooperation between the project teams of Casinos Austria and Atronic and mentioned the importance of this cooperation for the Austrian economy.
“It is one of our core principles to cooperate with local suppliers wherever possible in order to strengthen the Austrian economy and its competitiveness. We are therefore very pleased about this excellent cooperation with Atronic, an international gaming company with its R&D Centre and production facility located in Styria.”
Thierry Aiglon, COO Atronic International added: “We are of course delighted that Casinos Austria has chosen Atronic as the machines and systems supplier for their new Mega Million Jackpot. With the combination of e² machines, the Galaxis system and the latest eMillions games, all customized to their specific requirements, Casinos Austria has a unique combination of machines, games and systems components that cannot be found in any other casino in the world.”
Prior to the launch, the project teams of Casinos Austria and Atronic worked closely together to customize the eMilions Wap to the specific needs and requirements of Casinos Austria. For example, the top winning combination triggering the Mega Million Jackpot consists of five Casinos Austria logos. Furthermore, the launch event was supported by Atronic marketing, who worked closely together with the Casinos Austria marketing team beforehand to prepare all marketing material and communication for the launch.
The Mega Million Jackpot offers Casinos Austria players the chance of a lifetime to become millionaires. Guests have the chance to play Mega Million on five Euro Cent machines offering a minimum jackpot of two million credits equating to a 100,000 euro prize.
