Ameristar Casinos declared cash dividend

Besides, the firm announced last week that Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Public Affairs Troy Stremming has been named to lead the company’s public relations team. He will continue to be based at the firm’s offices in Kansas City, Mobile.

Since 2000, Troy has been responsible for governmental and regulatory affairs for Ameristar’s eight gaming properties and has assisted with evaluating and pursuing corporate development opportunities.

Each of the company's seven property-level Public Relations Managers will continue to report directly to his or her respective property executive team, while indirectly reporting to Troy in day-to-day activities. The Public Relations Managers are responsible for external and internal communications, charitable giving and community relations at their properties. In addition, Ameristar is recruiting a Corporate Director of Communications who will report to Troy and will also be based in Kansas City. This position will be responsible for company press releases and other external communications as well as media relations.

The firm has a portfolio of eight casinos in seven markets: Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles (greater St. Louis); Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City; Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs (Omaha, Neb. and southwestern Iowa); Ameristar Casino Hotel Vicksburg (Jackson, Miss. and Monroe, La.); Ameristar Casino Hotel East Chicago (Chicagoland area); Ameristar Casino Black Hawk (Denver metropolitan area); and Cactus Petes Resort Casino and The Horseshu Hotel & Casino in Jackpot, Nev. (Idaho and the Pacific Northwest).
