Only for games underwent a growth: Euromillones, Bonoloto, Quinogol and Lototurf

More players but less revenues in LAE

(Spain).- A steady increase in unemployment in Spain has increased a number of people that spent money in state lottery-games (LAE) in the last sixth months, although the revenues have decreased because players spent less amounts of money.

In the first six months of the year, only 4 games underwent a growth: Euromillones, Bonoloto, Quinogol y Lototurf. The crisis has caused a little decrease in sales of other LAE games.

According to LAE General Director, Gonzalo Fernández Rodríguez, the game has always had a growth parallel to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth, that’s why , except in cases of launching new games or drastic changed in prices, when the economic situation isn’t favourable, lottery and gambling revenues are lower.
