Argentina: Casino Iguazú to launch its own online poker site

In the following months, Casino Iguazú will rekease its own webpage dedicated to games of chance. There, virtual players will be able to enter to Poker Texas Holdem from their homes.

With regards to this, Javier Gutiérrez, Manager of Marketing of Casino Iguazú, pointed, in an interview with local newspaper Misiones On Line:“We are working to start an Internet page dedicated to games; we started with Poker Texas Holdem. And we are performing it with all the knowledge of this casino and with the guarantee that we are pioneers in South America with regards to the organization of all kind of poker tournaments. We know there are other pages dedicated to games, but none of them belongs to a casino, at least, not in Argentina, so we are very happy with this innovation.”

Gutiérrez added that “nowadays, poker is almost a short. In Russia it was declared a sport, because it requires intelligence, strategy and other characteristics, such as chess, which is very good.”

He also said that “we are developing our own software so all our customers may plan poker via Internet, as a virtual extention of our traditional gaming venues. Our current slogan is: Casino Iguazú is expanding its gambling venues and soon Internet gaming will be inaugurated.”

With regards to the launching date, he explained that “we will soon release it; we just have to define a few things with regards to the software because it needs to pass a series of security programs, which is almost solved. So very soon all our customers and friends will be able to plan with Casino Iguazú from their homes. At first we will only have poker, but maybe they we can add more things. This page will be linked to the webpage of the hotel and of course we think it is a promotion of this place, because the final of the online tournaments will be held in Casino Iguazú; we also think we will have access to more people through the site, so we think it will be very interesting.”
