“We want all Argentinian gaming venues to have Novomatic machines”

Since when are the new offices of Novomatic operating in Argentina and where are the new facilities located?
We are working now in our new commercial office and after sales centre, located right in the heart of Buenos Aires, since July of this year.

How long do you suppose it will take to enter in the Argentinian market? How many machines of the company are currently operating in the country?
Novomatic has already been active in the Argentine market for a long time, as many of our customers will tell you. In fact, Novomatic has many machines operating successfully throughout the whole country. As you know, there are thousands of machines in Argentina and now, with the opening of our new offices here in Buenos Aires, we will build another business dimension: not just machine distribution but adding excellent customer service support and after sales.

Which do you think will be the product that will have more penetration, or be the most attractive to local operators?
Overall, Novomatic has a huge product portfolio and in many regions the company has market specific products that best address the requirements of those regions. That is also the case across South America in general and here in Argentina particularly. Our FV-626 Novo Super-Vision cabinet, equipped with Coolfire II powered games has proven to be the ultimate product for our local customers but, of course, it is by no means our only product offering. For example, in locations that request slant top machines we offer the Novo-Vision Slant Top 1 with its world-leading ‘flip screen’ feature and so it can clearly be seen that we have the products that are proven and accepted in this market.

Which are the expectations of the company and why have you decided to open commercial offices in Argentina?
As a leading company in this sector, the intention is to strenghten the brand in all the markets in which we have presence, and so fulfill the expectations of our customers. Argentina is a huge market, both in terms of physical size and also in its market position. To give that market the service and attention it deserves requires that Novomatic is here, directly in the market. The customer reaction we already received after opening our facilities in Buenos Aires proves conclusively that we have taken the correct choice.
 
Which is the main problem that a company like Novomatic finds today in order to achieve to have success in a market such as Argentina?
We at Novomatic do not see problems, we see opportunities! Argentina is a complex and mature market where the players are extremely knowledgeable. Novomatic has been one of the first international big players to spread its services over the entire South American market as both a manufacturer and an operator. With the completion of a fully operational subsidiary in Argentina for sales and top support future prospects are becoming even more promising. Our strong product portfolio and the international brand recognition Novomatic enjoys provide an excellent base to further strengthen our market position. All of the gaming industry’s major names are present here today and we are determined that Novomatic will take its rightful position as the key brand name in this vitally important market.

Is it a personal challenge to lead the sale of Novomatic machines in Argentina? Which are your expectations?
It is a challenge, of course, but it is also a great honour to be working with Novomatic. My expectations are that all the Argentine venues, both in the casino and in the bingo sector, will have Novomatic machines operating before the end of the year.

What will be the technical support and the after sales attention that the company will offer in the country?
We have a very competent Technical Department in Buenos Aires, with highly trained personnel and a comprehensive stock in Argentina, so the after sales service will be equal to the demands of our customers in the whole country. Novomatic’s commitment to support, both in sales and after sales, is second to none. It is a reputation that we are determined to uphold in Argentina and right across all Latin American markets.
