The Serbian State Lottery is the nation’s exclusive online gaming license holder by law and the new deal will see Playtech provide its casino and poker products in the indigenous language, fully customised to appeal to the local audience.
Isle Of Man-based Playtech revealed that this was its first agreement with a state lottery and is in line with its strategy of focusing on the anticipated regulatory changes provided by different jurisdictions.
The Serbian State Lottery revealed that it chose Playtech due to its market-leading software expertise in regulated markets and customer-focused approach.
The news is sure to be welcomed by investors after Playtech announced last week that its gross income for the previous three months had dropped 1.9 % quarter-on-quarter to 33.1 million euros. However, the firm revealed that income increased by 23.3 % year-on-year and stated that the underlying performance of its business “continues to be resilient.”
