Mexico: Games of chance recover despite the economic crisis

From January to May this year, they delivered us$ 38.703.999 to the Treasury of the Federation, that represents the 70.8 % of the annual total published in the Federal Law of Income for 2009.

The director of finance of Pronósticos, Juan García Martínez, commented that, despite the economic crisis, people still choose these games, because they are confident they will obtain any of the prizes.

In Veracruz, the growth corresponds to the national average (8.4 %) and add 808 points of sale, while the country has 9,244 traditional agencies and 9,248 additional agencies, which brings a total of 18,492 points of sale.

He commented that Pronósticos is a profitable company, because it does not have accounts to charge to their agents, which allows them to have liquidity; besides, with 380 employees in the country, it generates more than us$ 605,933,452 in incomes a year.

In 2008, the South East regional Deputy Direction was the one that obtained the biggest growth of sales with a 11.54 %, while the central zone only achieved the 4.85 %.
