How did the AGA and Reed Exhibitions come up with the idea to work together with SAGSE?
The AGA and Reed have a keen interest in the Latin American market based on the fact that both our manufacturer and operator members of AGA and participants in G2E have identified it as a place that holds great promise for the future expansion of the gaming industry.
Which is the way of working defined between both events? In which way will the AGA and Reed collaborate?
Reed Exhibitions will work directly with Monografie to help with many of the operational and logistical aspects of the event on the ground in Buenos Aires. In addition, G2E and the AGA will work with SAGSE to produce content for the event. I will be speaking on the opening day of the event and look forward to addressing the audience. AGA members will receive special discounts for exhibiting at SAGSE beginning in 2010. In addition, we will cross promote G2E and SAGSE to our respective databases to help attract attendees for both of the events.
Are you planning to attend SAGSE?
Both G2E and the AGA will attend SAGSE in October.
How important is for the AGA and Reed Exhibitions the Latin American market?
The AGA is the most influential association of gaming operators and manufacturers in the world. Its members represent the industry’s biggest brands and we anticipate this collaboration can and will bring more attention to the market in Latin American and the opportunities it represents for the future. Reed is the world’s largest producer of trade shows and brings tremendous reach and resources that can benefit SAGSE. G2E is delighted to collaborate with SAGSE and looks forward to offering SAGSE and the Latin American market broader exposure around the globe.
How do you see or analyze the Latin American gambling market?
Gaming manufacturers continue to name Latin America as a major market expansion opportunity. Additionally, with the closure of casinos in Russia there has been talk of operators from that region looking to Latin America for their future. We view the market as holding tremendous opportunity for gaming expansion on both the operator and manufacturer side, not just from the U.S. but from all over the world.
As you know, another trade event was announced in Buenos Aires a couple of weeks before SAGSE. Which is G2E's position in relation with MAGIA show?
We have always been impressed with the quality of the SAGSE event and its ability to attract the leading exhibitors and attendees from around the world, which is the reason we entered into this partnership in the first place. Our focus right now is helping to make SAGSE stronger and better than ever, and we’re confident this partnership will allow us to do that.
