After the sanitary emergency was declared by the Argentinian government, the different provinces and districts are taking decisions on the matter, because it does not exist a unified measure for the whole country yet.
Buenos Aires
In the Province of Buenos Aires there is not a unified decision, on the contrary, councils of the different cities, or even operators of each particular venue, announce the measures taken independently.
Casino Mar del Plata closed last weekend as a measure to avoid the spreading of the Swine flu virus. Although it has not been informed how long will the measure last, the City council recommended to close all the gambling venues of the province, as a preventive measure.
Besides, the activity in Bingo La Plata suspended its activity until today (July 6th), when it will start performing a daily control of the general situation.
Quilmes, Avellaneda, Lanús and San Miguel also decided to close all the bingo halls, as well as pubs, clubs and shopping centers. In Quilmes, the measure was harder and also involves all convention centers, bingo halls, swimming pools and sports centers.
Corrientes
By an agreement among casino owners and the Ministry of Health, the casinos of the province have been closed indefinitely. The statement comprises the venues of Casinos del Litoral and Gala, Virasoro, Mercedes, Curuzú Cuatiá, Ituzaingó, Goya and Santo Tomé.
“We will soon evaluate the continuity of the measure, so the closure has an indefinite deadline, that will be announced once the risk conditions change”, explained the Ministry of Public Health of Corrientes, Adolfo Schneider.
Entre Ríos
The Institute of Financial Support to Social Action (Iafas) stipulated the temporary closure of casinos and gambling venues in the province to avoid the propagación of the Swine Flu virus. However, he informed that all the games of chance commercialized by the Institute, which do not involve the concentration of people will keep on taking place as usual in Entre Ríos: Tómbola, Telekino, Quini-6, Brinco, Loto, Loto 5, administrated by Iafas.
Chubut
The Mayor of Puerto Madryn, Carlos Eliceche, ratified yesterday in a press conference the suspensión of activities of Bingo Municipal, from now on.
