The Barcelona-based firm increased its operating profits by 9% year-on-year to 52 million euros while income reached 411 million euros.
Cirsa stated that its business-to-business recreational machines division increased its domestic market share by 3% to hit 54 % while its casino branch grew in Argentina, Panama and Venezuela as a result of refurbishing eleven properties.
In terms of bingo, income from Mexico increased by 77 % due to improvements in collections alongside an increase in venues. In addition, Cirsa stated that its operational division stabilised results in Spain with the opening of 13 new casinos to reach a total of 122. Revenues from Italy also increased by three percent year-on-year due to the optimisation of more than 2,000 machines alongside a rise in customer numbers.
Cirsa revealed that future Spanish plans included reopening the Bingo Estacion in Puerto De Santa Maria near Cadiz alongside the conclusion of the first phase of a facelift on the Casino Marbella in Malaga. The leisure firm also stated that it plans to inaugurate a new complex in Rosario, Argentina, in September alongside a new casino for Valencia, Spain, sometime next year.
