"The order of the Finance Ministry of Ukraine prohibiting the work of all casinos in Ukraine expired on June 7. On June 4, Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko refused to sign a law on the gambling business earlier approved by the parliament. So on June 8, OEG reopened all of its casinos in Ukraine," the statement reads.

As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine by its order of May 7 suspended the licenses of gambling establishments for one month. On May 15, the Ukrainian parliament approved a law banning gambling business and participating in gaming in Ukraine.

Some 340 of 442 registered people's deputies voted for the law initiated by MP Hryhoriy Smitiukh (the Regions Party) and Valeriy Pysarenko (BYT).

Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko vetoed the law banning the gambling business in Ukraine, saying it violated certain points of the constitution.
