UK: Mecca Bingo Managing Director exits
(UK).- Simon Wykes, managing director of Mecca Bingo, has left Rank Group, the company announced on Monday. Ian Burke, Rank's CEO, will take over the role until a replacement is found.

Rank said it has started the process of selecting a new managing director to operate 103 licensed bingo clubs across Great Britain.
"Simon has worked hard to stabilize Mecca Bingo during a period in which the industry has had to adapt to the effects of the smoking ban, the loss of section 21 gaming machines and rising taxation," Burke said in a company statement.
"We have entered a new phase in our strategy as we look to move beyond stabilization to rebuilding Mecca Bingo's profits," he added.
