Managed Gaming Solutions (MGS) has expanded its lottery services in the Caribbean region with the launch of an interactive mobile lottery service in Curacao, Netherland Antilles, through its locally licensed operating partner Sure Lottery.

The mobile and interactive gaming solutions provider said it is working with Sure Lottery, a local licensed lottery provider, on developing mobile and online gaming businesses in the Caribbean.

The launch in Curacao is a result of a joint venture between MGS and Caribbean business development company Three Apple NV. MGS Caribbean (MGSC) is focussed on developing mobile and online gaming related business opportunities in selected countries in the Caribbean region that are part of the Caribbean Association of National Telecommunication Organizations (CANTO).

MGSC estimates that the CANTO market currently has approximately 16 million subscribers, growing to almost 19 million subscribers by 2011.

Tero Turunen, Chairman of MGS, said: “We are very pleased to announce another country launch in this exciting region, and are confident to achieve a similar user acceptance as in Surinam, where shortly after the roll out a sizeable percentage of the population is playing our games.

“We are now in a very good position for future business growth in the emerging markets and are convinced that we are on the right track to become the fastest growing lottery related gaming provider in this region,” said Tero Turunen, chairman of Managed Gaming Solutions, in a prepared statement.
