What products did Unidesa decide to present before the Caribbean public? Which is the impression of this first event in Aruba?
The products presented belong to our “In Action” family. We have brought the most important games, which are working better in all the casinos and we have also displayed our multi-progressive machines, because, as a first show, we thought we had to exhibit it and participate in this new Caribbean event, to support it with our presence, so it may keep on growing.
Which is the position of the company in the market of Aruba and in the Caribbean in general?
In the Caribbean, Unidesa is being attended by a distributor, and in recent years our presence has not been very active, so now we want to re-launch our presence in these markets, and that’s why we are here in Aruba, so, somehow, we achieve the Caribbean market to get to know our company. Anyway, I always find operators that have our machines in this market, and we are happy because these are strong machines and work very well.
With regards to the operators, Who could you contact during the event?
There were local operators, some of them from Venezuela. In Venezuela we have many customers, and lots of them have come here due to the level of security that Aruba has, and people may be more relaxed than in a city such as Caracas. They were delighted to be here. So, I think that, if this event lasts, I think that It would be worth to keep on betting to it, so it may become the Venezuelan and Caribbean event.
Considering that the international crisis is hitting Europe hard, How do you expect to face this year the hardships of a market that seems to find more difficulties than the ones that usually face the gambling sector?
Well, I prefer to face the situation with joy, because, anyhow, during the crisis there are two options: or you put joy and humor, or the situation becomes more complicated. Really, casinos in Europe have felt the impact, there are casinos that are reducing the number of machines, have decreased their collections, but we have to keep on insisting, to help in what we can and go on. We cannot abandon the operator. Products have to be tested, we have to keep on fighting hard, because it is a period with a deep crisis. But we consider you have to be there, you have to keep on innovating, you have to continue creating so, and somehow, we have to help the operator to get out of it.
In which Latin American trade shows will you be present this year?
We have to be present in FADJA event in Colombia, and then, we will be present in SAGSE event in Buenos Aires. With regards to the products, London event shows the trend, and this year we presented two new multi-progressives, one of them is Fortune Reel, a “mystery” three-level multi-progressive, that you may link to all type of games and we will present it in Latin American events, together win Keno multi-progressive.
