The second day had several points in common with the opening, because the first hour of the event was slow, but after 14.30, operators, mainly local, started arriving, although there was a very little Central and South American presence, and in particular, there was an important presence of Venezuelan casinos.
Patricia Alarcón, one of the two organizers of the show in Aruba, showed her satisfaction with the result. “For us it is a first test, and I think we have achieved our goals. I feel proud of what we achieved in so little time of organization, because, although the event was small, we managed to receive top visitors, operators and authorities”. She then added that “exhibitors are happy with the balance of the event, and that is the best result we could obtain. We did things right, we worked a lot and very seriously with mi team, and I think the event was very successful for all of us.”
Besides, Elizabeth Leiva supported the statements of her partner, and assured that she is very pleased with the result of the event, “and although there are some things to adjust as in every first event, I think we have had a very positive start in Aruba.”
The Forum performed in the afternoon attracted several top speakers, that, despite the fact that had little time to develop their subjects (around 15 minutes for each of the five specialists announced each day), could bring a first overview to each of the issues announced; and in future editions, this space is expected to gain in time and in public, achieving to establish as a debate forum and diffusion of the main issues that interest to regional operators and manufacturers.
Minutes before 5 p.m., the event concluded. Its three daily hours left exhibitors satisfied with a first event of this kind, and some of them have already assured their presence for the following edition. So it is probable that 2010 will have a new and wider edition of Aruba Gaming Show, because the organizers have already confirmed for March 18-19, 2010.
