The company, that participated in a congress related to online gambling and the current regulatory situation in Spain, stated that each member state should consider the EU right for the development of a regulation, that should take into account a "license system and a tax system, the transparency of operators, the platform security, online gaming policies and the creation of an independent entity of control.”
Legal councellor of Bwin, Thomas Talos, indicated, during the congress, that the banning or the monopoly is not “the right decision”, because they just boost the illegal market, as it happens in Germany or US.
When talking about regulatory principles recommended by Bwin, Talos pointed that each member could demand gaming providers a national license no need to create a double-control system. "A regulation that represents the best consumer protection, additional tax income and a secure legal frame for operators is, no doubt, an opportunity that should not be spoilt by Spain,” he concluded.
