Lottomatica is one of the world’s largest commercial lottery operators and a market leader in the Italian gaming industry. The privatization process for Turkey’s State-owned National Lottery is expected to begin in August, following the enactment of a bill on financial control.
The National Lottery has a 32 % market share in Turkey with annual turnover of us$ 683 million and net profits of us$ 189 million. Other Turkish firms rumored to be considering a tender include Koc Group, Cukurova Group and Is Yatirim.
