France approves Atronic as wide area progressive provider & operator

As a result, Atronic plans to connect approximately 100 venues to 400 electronic gaming machines (EGMs) by June of this year. The multi-site jackpot, Superjack, will be open to all casino operators, small groups or independents.

The firm partnered with a joint venture group comprising casino operators Groupe Lucien Barrière, Groupe Tranchant and JOAGROUPE to test its SUPERJACK WAP in three casinos. It received temporary authorization to operate the jackpots in order to conduct a thorough technical and functional validation.

The nine-month pilot took place between April and December 2008 at Casino Ouistreham (Barrière), Casino de Luc sur Mer (Tranchant) and Casino de Saint-Aubin (JOAGROUPE). Atronic installed three e-motion machines in each venue connected to the multi-site progressive jackpot.

Each machine featured the same game, number of credits in max bet, rate of increment dedicated to multi-game jackpot, number of winning combinations in the jackpot cycle, and value of the top prize.

Players won 40 jackpots during the pilot - 20 at Casino de Luc sur Mer, 11 at Casino Ouistreham and 9 at Casino de Saint-Aubin. Meanwhile, Atronic administration operated 24-7, offering IT support, system maintenance, compliance monitoring, and interaction with the casino group and casinos on payment procedures.

The service was certified by the European office of Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) in Amsterdam, recognized by many jurisdictions around the globe as a trusted testing agency.
