The popular Casinos Austria Charity Roulette table will again feature prominently on the stand throughout the show and will be complemented by a Charity Poker Challenge in the Casinos Austria International Poker Lounge at 6 pm on Thursday 12 March. All proceeds from the charity gaming events will be donated to the local SOS Children’s Village.
"ITB is a key show in the international travel trade calendar and an ideal platform for promoting our global casino network," said CEO Paul Herzfeld. "The event attracts visitors from all over the world, and our aim is not only to show guests what our casinos have to offer, but also to demonstrate to potential operators the strong contribution a casino makes to tourism in its host community. Modern casinos are far more than just gaming venues, they also offer top-class hotels, bars, restaurants and shops. Many of them also have congress and banqueting facilities and host all manner of cultural events, shows and exhibitions. These attract new visitors and produce key synergy effects for the local tourism and leisure industries," he explained.
With over 11,000 exhibitors and 180,000 visitors in 2008, ITB Berlin is the world’s premier fair for the tourism and leisure industries, attracting visitors, travel industry professionals and journalists from all around the globe. ITB Berlin is a driving force in the travel industry and provides important impetus to a growing market.
Casinos Austria International has strong links with this unique event and has been an exhibitor in Berlin for the last 20 years. Founded in 1977, CAI has 76 casinos in 18 countries and on board 11 cruise ships.
