What did ISMS present at IGE 2009?
ISMS is one of the largest companies worldwide with regards to used equipment. Instead of presenting products in particular, we have presented new services, because we have gone a step further and we attend globally, because we have stock in five stores strategically located around the world. We are the first company with used equipment with offices in the five continents.
What was the feedback from visitors and potential customers during the event?
Really, we have been amazed with the positive response that we have had, because ISMS is considered an option for the provision of equipment, and they include us among there preferences, at the same level as the manufacturers.
How did you see the event in its 2009 edition?
It would be foolish to say that the crisis has no ha affected the quantity of visitors, however, as we are a more economic option and we deliver high-quality equipment which has been previously tested by our technicians, it really benefited us.
How would you describe ISMS position in the international market? How is the company positioned in the Latin American sector?
As I said before, ISMS must be probable the largest in the sector of used equipment worldwide, our stock exceedes the 5,000 units, which is constantly renewed due to the high volume of sales registered. I have incorporated to the company recently to attend the whole American continent and the response has been positive.
Which are the expectations for 2009? Which are the markets that the company aims to target the most?
This year we intend to concentrate in the Asian market and in Latin America, in particular in Peru and Mexico, which are the markets that show a high growth.
How do you think the international economic crisis may affect the development and growth of the firm in the medium-term?
For us, it is a growth opportunity, because we are a more economic option than manufacturers with a top quality, because we do not only worry about the equipment in the moment of the delivery, but we also select them at the moment of the acquisition.
In the medium term, we are in a series of negotiations with strategic companies in the sector in order to bring complete solutions, not only the equipment but also spare parts, system and we also aim to increase the number of machines this year.
