Intralot opens the first betting center in Madrid
This company has been one of the first that were granted the operating licenses for sportsbooks in Madrid Council, since April 2008. With its brand Apuesta Oé, Intralot has 11 betting centres, together with agreements with casinos and bingos.
Besides this first specialized center in Colmenar, in the near future, another one will be opened in Mostoles and, at the beginning of 2009, new exclusive centers will be opened in Pozuelo de Alarcón, Boadilla del Monte, Coslada, Las Rozas, Humanes and El Escorial, reaching 40 during 2009.
The aim of the company is to offer a new leisure and entertainment option to any person older than 18, who wishes to predict the result of a wide list of sports events, may be a football or tennis match or a Formula 1 race.
Juan Carlos Zarzoso, Manager of the company, has declared: "We are satisfied of inaugurating our first dedicated store and we commit to offer first quality products and services to our customers. With the opening of our own stores, we are convinced that citizens of Madrid will find a leisure and entertainment alternative, related with the passion and emotion of the sport”.
