The operators must have a network of land-based outlets, where their bettors need to register. All bettors must visit such an outlet in person and confirm, by their signatures, that they agree to the terms of betting, which also include the ban on third-party access and a condition of a single account.

The companies which have obtained the licence will be subject to regulation under the Gaming Act, and will pay administrative fees, state supervision fees, and part of their proceeds will be used for good causes, in compliance with the legislation in force.

The server where the betting takes place must be located in the Czech Republic, with the software used to be subject to certification by an authorised authority, and the operators to be obliged to allow state supervision’s on-line access to the system.

The companies which have obtained the licence have undertaken to follow the European Responsible Gaming Standards.
