Currently, the Martínez Sampedro family controls the 71% of the capital of the operator of de bingo halls and casinos. However, the future of this participation is uncertain, because it is in the middle of a sale process, after the current owners did not pay the 187 million the owed to their former partners, Franco brothers.

The bond issuance is connected to the 340 million loan that Masampe subscribed to face the acquisition of its participation in 2006. The loan had an annual interest of 7.5%, that would be paid in the deadline, on December 15th, 2015, according to the brochure that announced that Codere would start operating in the stock market in October 2007.
