A tender process to be held for the new casino in Asuncion, Paraguay

The organization, who runs the games of chance control, calls for a national public tender for the game called Telebingo, exclusively in the whole country, to be operated in Channel 13, Teledifusora Paraguaya S.A. It is being pointed in Public Tender Number 2, published in different media of communication.

This new Telebingo will be added to those already operating in Channel 9, SNT Cerro Corá, operated for the firm Gambling; and Channel 4, Telefuturo, in charge of the company Talismán S.A. Law Number 1016/97l, which established the legal rules for the games of chance operation, and allows to tender Telebingo game, one for each open channel.

The other call, Public Tender Number 3, is to tender the Asunción casino, the second to be operated. The first one is in charge of the firm SES, located in Sacramento and Spain.

The gaming law allows the operation of more than one casino just in Asunción and in the departments with more than 250,000 inhabitants. The reception and opening of the envelopes will be performed in Conajzar, on November, 29th for Telebingo, and on November 30th for the casino. A first call this year, with the new government, was performed for the operation of a horse racetrack in Asuncion. The opening of the enveloped is planned for next December 17th.

The racetrack is currently operated by Paraguayan Jockey Club, through a temporary license issued by Conajzar after the expiration of the contract last March. It pays a fee of us$ 1,022.

Conajzar is the entity in charge of the planning, control and surveillance of games of chance, comprised by a representative of each of the following entities: The Minister of Finance (who heads the organization), governors, city councils, Minister of the Interior and Diben.
