As part of this project, gaming legislation and the underage gaming ban will be presented to the pupils and students in an active and funny way at their civics or family education lessons, and the children will deal with tasks to support their responsible and qualified decision-making. The project also includes an interactive competition, which will be rounded off with a reception of the participants in the Senate of Czech Parliament.

In the opening stage, which began in November 2008, the project will take place at more than forty primary schools and multi-year gymnasiums (academic high schools) of the Plzeň Region; in subsequent stages, the project will extend to other regions of the Czech Republic.

“We do not wish children and the young to bet, and are ready to undertake particular steps to achieve this,” Marek Herman, Executive Director of the Association of Odds Betting Operators, which associates the largest betting firms in the Czech Republic, said when the project was launched.
