As part of the process of nomination, iGaming Business stated that it sought the views and opinions of a cross-section of the industry to determine those people who deserve recognition for their efforts in developing the sector.
“iGB Aces honours those who have made positive steps in the evolution of the industry and we believe 2008’s cast list to be an accurate reflection of that,” said Alex Pratt, Publisher of iGaming Business.
“The 40 people named in the coming issue of iGaming Business represent what the industry believes to be the spearhead of our sector and our congratulations go out to all those who made the list.”
The list features some new and interesting names such as US Congressmen Barney Frank and Jim McDermott, nominated for their efforts at regulating and taxing American online gaming.
“There are some new additions to the list and I think that reflects how our industry has changed in recent times,” said Pratt. “Ours is an industry boasting many significant milestones, not all of them positive, and the iGB Aces will be at the forefront of setting new benchmarks to drive our sector forward.”
