What is the situation of the company in Latin America, considering that you have increased your presence in the area and have opened offices in Chile?
It is very important for us to be in Latin America. Since our first attendance at SAGSE last year, we made great progress in the region. The show is great and promises excellent results which give us confidence about Novomatic’s further growth in South America.
Are you presenting new games or machines for the South American market?
At Sagse we are presenting the new Novo Super-Vision cabinet, a multi-game machine especially designed for the South American continent. This special product for the South American markets is distributed at special conditions for our South American customers. We also showcase our international flagship - the Super V+ Gaminator -which is equipped with the latest multi-game mixes, including the latest developments of our broad game range. At Sagse we present a comprehensive jackpot installation featuring the Super V+ Gaminator linked to the Flexi-Link Jackpot System, which is a multi level mystery progressive jackpot system.
How was the feedback from your visitors? Did you have the chance to be in contact with people from other countries, besides of Argentina?
We’ve had visitors from Argentina as well as from all around the continent, many came from Peru and Chile, for example. This year, the number of visitors seems to have slightly decreased compared to last year, but the quality of the visitors we had was absolutely excellent. We are very happy with our attendance.
What is the situation of the company in Chile? What are your plans for the next couple of months?
On October 8 we opened the Casino Monticello in San Francisco de Mostazal near Santiago de Chile. It was a soft-opening because the casino was opened upfront of the hotel, the conference center and the shopping mall which will be finished later next year.
Are you planning to attend to other events in Latin America, as well?
Since we have two subsidiaries in South America, namely in Peru and in Chile, we will also participate in the Peru Gaming Show and, without making any promises at this point, we are interested in some other South American gaming exhibitions which will demonstrate our commitment to these South American markets and offer further opportunities to meet our customers at place.
Well, Novomatic has one of the biggest stands of the show, I think that reflects the commitment of the company.
That reflects the commitment and also the requirement that we have for quality. We cannot demonstrate the quality of our product portfolio on a smaller booth, so we made the investment as we started last year. We learned a lot during the past 12 months, and we have gained an increasing presence in Chile and in Peru - with the operations as well as with our own companies there. It has been an honour for us to receive an award that recognizes Novomatic’s commitment to development, because that’s exactly what we are about.
