Barriere casino opened at Blotzheim, France

(France).- The Lucien Barrière group inagurated a new casino on Saturday 1 November at Blotzheim (Haut-Rhin). The two other gambling houses in the region, namely Niederbronn (Bas-Rhin) and Ribeauvillé (Haut-Rhin), also belong to Barriere.

Blotzheim is situated in the region of the three frontiers, quite close to the airport of Bale-Mulhouse. Besides, the casino of Blotzheim is located at the end of the runway, at the foot of the warning radar. On the other side of the runway, on Switzerland’s side, is the Grand Casino Basel owned by Tranchant Group.

Situated on the heights of Blotzheim, this new casino occupies a surface area of 3.900 m2, nearly half of it being dedicated to games, restaurants and entertainment. It has been built by the architect Louis Soors and is made of glass, steel and concrete. The total investment amounts to 16 million euros.

The casino can offer 250 slot machines and will be proposing 100 as from Saturday, as well as ten traditional gaming tables (English roulette, Blackjack and poker). All slot machines are equipped with TiTo. This system has just been launched in Toulouse. In all, about a hundred jobs have been created, priority being given to local recruitment.
