What products did you present in the event and which are their features?
Two current platforms of Konami Gaming were presented in SAGSE: Video K2V platform, in its variety of Upright cabinet with a LCD 19" and its Upright Extended LCD cabinet variety, with two LCDs of 19". In this case, the video-based game is developed at the bottom of the LCD, and in the top LCD there are the developments of two, three and four level progressives, mystery, stand-alone without controller or linked to a controller. It is also the K2V Slant Top with a LCD or Extended LCD with two LCD.
The second platform showcased is Advantage Reel, in its Advantage 5 cabinet, with five mechanic reels and a LCD 19" in the top part, which shows the payment table during the mechanic reel game. The stage of interactive bonusing happens when people obtain a certain combination in the mechanical reeds that trigger it. Besides, it is the Advantage + cabinet, with 3 Mechanic Reels and a LCD, not shown in this event.
Which has been the feedback from the public?
The response of the public has been fantastic, especially for Advantage 5 Reel, with certain characteristics that make them unique, such as a fixed betting console (minimum 25 credits), mechanical reels that have the same as the traditional reel, led "infinity" lighting set in the upper top box (leds and mirrors), leds that change its color in the same symbols as reels and leds backlight that illuminate the reels from behind and draw with lights of the same symbol in the empty space of the mechanical reel. Finally, the leds at the bottom of the machine, change its color in an intermittent way. The public was shocked by the sensation created by the lights and sounds of Advantage 5.
What markets do you target with these products and in which places are they already located?
Konami aims to target the South American casino market, with an internationalization program of games in Spanish, multi denomination and multi-percentage for denomination, validating all the South American currencies. Konami is present in all South American countries, but, from this event on, it targets to develop the customer base through local presence.
How have you seen SAGSE Buenos Aires?
With all the pavilions taken by exhibitors, a great number of public and many friends and customers of Konami that have visited us, so we are very grateful for that.
Which are Konami goals for 2009?
Konami is just beginning to pay attention to the South American market and aims to showcase in 2009 that its games have a top performance, based in the advanced video game math, that brings a stable profitability, as well as revolutionary characteristics of the products recently released to the market, as Advantage 5 Reel, that aims to attract the traditional reel player in the transition stage to a more sophisticated product.
