Carlos Sanz, Director of Technology and Systems IT & Compliance of Codere Mexico, introduced the subject, commenting that Server Based Gaming (SBG) represents the future of gambling venues with regards to the multiplication of the gaming offer. “It is not a product, is a way of living that is closer each time. It is not only a downloading but also a way to operate”.

“The 100% of the machines are ready for SBG, so it would be possible to adapt the full system in two months”, commented Avron Gross, CEO of Betstone. John Conelly, VP International of Bally, added: “Most providers now bring a downloadable function. Before that, one had to evaluate hardware according to each provider. The system is currently available”.

Downloadable configuration is just an aspect of Server Based Gaming. The cost is associated to a revolution of this system, which is also an evolution”, continued Kurt Quartier, Vice President International Casino Markets of IGT.

On top of that, Gross explained that the integration has to do with equipments and who acquires them. It is also important that they are under the appropriate protocols. Connelly added: “Downloadable technology is the capacity to face what is presented in real time and what is more attractive for the player”.

Then, speakers agreed on the fact that it is necessary to take advantage of the casino network; they added that there are many ideas to perform it and that there are several firms working with the same objectives. “The benefit we brought to the market is to have a better interaction with the customer”, concluded Quartier.
