Chile: Gran Casino Monticello opened its doors to the public

According to estimations that agree with Recart, in the first 12 months of operations, Monticello will generate around us$ 6.5 million as specific gaming tax, of which it will have to bring equal parts between Mostazal council and the regional government. “It will allow Mostazal to increase near 580% of its investment budget, receiving more than us$ 3.2 million for developments for the council”.

Besides, Coutts-Trotter thanked all the associations, teams and people involved in the mega project. “In the following months, we will be focused to conclude the retail area and access to the Western sector, so we will be able to manage an official inauguration of the casino”, he added.

The first play in this casino was performed in a roulette table in charge of the Casino Superintendent. The gambling hall has different types of technologies, that, according to the executives, is the best of South America. It also has different bars and restaurants, and one of them has room for concerts and shows.

The price of the ticket is us$ 4.22 and it opens from Monday to Thursday from 4,00 p.m. to 4,00 a.m., and 24 hours on week-ends. Operators say there will be parking space for more than 1,200 cars and customized attention.

This San Francisco Investment S.A. project (belonging to shareholders of SUN International-Novomatic-IGGR), will count with a Convention Center with room for more than 1,800 people, a five-star hotel with 155 rooms, two business centres, spa and gym; show room and dancing club; restaurants, bars and cafes, business center, children games, a theme park, urban park, a sports center, etc.

According to the executives of this project, it should be ready before the beginning of the first semester 2009, and the maximum deadline was set next December 29, 2009.
