Prior to his three years of leadership at Hollywood Park, Ziegler held senior positions at Bay Meadows, Santa Anita and Golden Gate racecourses. Before entering the horse racing industry, he worked in marketing with the Oakland Athletics Baseball Company and Gatorade. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
