PacificNet co-founder named to the 'Asian Gaming 50' list

(China).- PacificNet Inc. announced that its co-founder, Tony Tong, has been named to the "Asian Gaming 50" list by Inside Asian Gaming Magazine, July 2008: "The Big 50 - The most influential people in Asia's gaming industry".

The Asian Gaming 50 provides a concise 'who's who' reference of the industry's movers and shakers in Asian gaming. It was compiled after tallying votes on thirteen individual criteria by twelve independent panelists from around the region.

The methodology and panelists were carefully selected to ensure the Asian Gaming 50 is as representative as possible, spanning various Asian countries and forms of gaming, including the nascent regional online gaming sector and quasi-gaming in the shape of Japan's massive pachinko industry.

Tony Tong, co-founder of PacificNet, joins well-known international names and regional leaders in the Asian Gaming 50. Topping the list this year are Stanley Ho, Sheldon Adelson & Steve Wynn, with other famous names including Lim Kok Thay, Francis Lui, Lawrence Ho, James Packer, Kazuo Okada, Hajime Satomi, Efraim Genuino, Pansy Ho, Ted Chan, Albert Yeung, Tom Hall, Jack Lam Yin Lok, Angela Leong On-Kei, Justin Leong, Joe Pisano, Albee Benitez, Steven Lim Tow Boon, Arthur Wang, David Friedman, William Weidner, Chen Lip Keong, Leonard Aainsworth, and Shailesh Naik, among others.
