Betfair offers Tote Ireland pools online

Betfair revealed that its customers would now be able to bet directly into the Irish Tote’s pools on all markets including win, place and each way using the funds in their online account. All winnings are to be credited back into the customer’s Betfair account free of commission although players will still earn points.

’Tote pools offer unique products and features that should be highly appealing to Betfair customers,” said Alexis Murphy, CEO for Tote Ireland. “In consequence, we anticipate this agreement will further enhance liquidity in the Tote’s pools and help us further increase our contribution to Irish racing.”

Betfair has already launched similar partnerships with the UK and Australian Totes and stated that both services have proved popular with punters. The firm has over 45,000 registered customers in the Republic of Ireland and is currently halfway through a Grassroots Sponsorship deal that will see it become a sponsor at every Irish racecourse before the end of next year.
