Regarding the casino sector, Accor achieved a turnover of 86 252 million euros for the first quarter (78 172 million in 2007) and 83 471 million in the second quarter (80 619 million in 2007), giving an outcome of 169 723 million for the semester (158 791 in 2007).
A slight drop has been registered in the second quarter, globally estimated at -20%, presumably due to the smoking ban in public places.
The yearly progression is supported by the opening of the Barrière casino in Toulouse in the third quarter 2007 and of the temporary Barrière casino in Lille at the beginning of the year.
