The initial 500 SWP terminals will be rolled out over the next six months

In conjunction with IceSkill, a leading provider of interactive touch-screen entertainment machines, Inspired Gaming will place Skill With Prize (SWP) terminals in 1,000 selected venues in the US.

The terminals use Inspired Gaming's software platform and are controlled centrally via a broadband network. The initial 500 SWP terminals will be rolled out over the next six months with the remaining 500 to follow in the six months after that. The roll-out follows a successful trial of 20 SWP terminals in the US last year.

“This is a strategically significant deal for Inspired,” claimed Norman Crowley, Inspired's co-chief executive officer. “The US market represents a very exciting opportunity for us as it is one that is relatively untapped for SWP gaming,” Crowley added.

IceSkill intends to develop its own content for the terminals and to create an online community that will be able to participate in local and national tournaments, regardless of whether they have access to an SWP terminal.
